Tchia is Awaceb's 2023 open-world adventure about exploring a New Caledonia-inspired archipelago through climbing, sailing, music, and soul-jumping into animals and objects.

Tchia casts players as a young girl searching for her father across a bright island chain inspired by New Caledonia, the Pacific homeland of Awaceb's founders. Its storybook setup leads into a freeform adventure built around travel, discovery, and local cultural texture rather than combat mastery.

The game mixes familiar open-world verbs with a distinctive possession system. Tchia can climb almost any surface, glide, dive, sail between islands, play a fully interactive ukulele, and leap her soul into animals or everyday objects to cross gaps, sneak through camps, or improvise solutions.

Released in 2023 for PlayStation and PC before later ports, Tchia became one of the year's more visible independent adventure games. Its warm art direction, music, and representation earned recognition from The Game Awards and BAFTA, including wins for social-impact categories.
